Warnings

Thermal safety - To avoid pain, skin redness or burns

• DO NOT use Lumea on lips, nostrils, ears, scalp, nipples, labia minora, perineum,

around the anus, penis, or scrotum. These areas are highly sensitive and have thinner

and darker skin.

• DO NOT touch the light exit window during or directly after use, this part becomes

very hot. After use, unplug Lumea and the power adapter and let them cool down

for 15 minutes before cleaning and storing.

• DO NOT use Lumea on an active skin condition, as this may worsen the condition or

cause additional pain, skin redness or burns. Skin conditions may include:

- Active bruises, rashes, sores, open wounds, scars or sunburns. Wait until the injury

is completely healed before resuming treatment.

- Active skin irritations, inammations or infections. Wait until the skin is completely

recovered before resuming treatment.

- Damaged skin after using depilatory (hair removal) creams. Wait at least 2 days

before resuming treatment.

- Damaged skin after using skin peeling, (micro)dermabrasion or skin rejuvenation

methods. Wait at least 1 week before resuming treatment.

Eye safety - To avoid eye damage

• DO

NOT

use Lumea close to or on the eye, eyelid or eyebrow. Use Lumea only below

the cheekbones.

Electrical safety - To avoid electrical shock

• DO NOT use Lumea in wet surroundings (e.g. in the bathroom or near a shower

or swimming pool).

• DO NOT let water run into Lumea.

•

DO NOT expose Lumea to large temperature changes, especially in a high humidity

environment, without giving Lumea time to acclimatize for 30 minutes to the ambient

temperature of the room in which it will be used (see ‘Technical specications’).

• DO NOT attempt to repair or modify Lumea. Any repairs or alterations made by the

user may void the warranty and compliance of Lumea. Changes or modications

made to Lumea not expressly approved by Philips may void the U.S. Federal

Communications Commission authorization to operate this equipment.

• DO NOT touch any inner part of a damaged Lumea or the power adapter.

• DO NOT use any other attachments or power adapter than supplied with Lumea.

• ALWAYS check if the voltage indicated on the power adapter corresponds to the

local mains voltage before you connect the equipment.
