Note: In this user manual, Lumea refers to the Philips Lumea IPL 7000 Series,

8000 Series and 9000 Series.

Indications for use

Philips Lumea IPL is indicated for the removal of unwanted hair for a single user.

It is also indicated for the permanent reduction in hair regrowth, dened as the

long-term, stable reduction in the number of hairs regrowing when measured at

6, 9 and 12 months after the completion of a treatment regime.

Is Lumea suitable for you?

Philips Lumea is not suitable for everyone. Check the skin tone and hair color tables

at the start of this user manual and read the important safety instructions carefully

to see if Lumea is suitable for you.

Philips Lumea can be used by persons in the age range of 18-65 years with fair up

to medium brown skin tones, and naturally dark blond, brown, dark brown and

black hair.

Unsuitable body hair colors: Treatment with Lumea is not eective if you have light

blond, grey, red or white hairs as hairs with these colors do not absorb enough light.

Unsuitable skin tones: You cannot use Lumea if you have dark brown to dark

skin tones as these skin tones absorb light more easily which could result in pain,

skin redness or burns.

Philips Lumea, attached with a face attachment, can be used on the female face

(below the cheekbone). Philips Lumea, attached with a body or precision attachment,

can be used on the body (below the neckline). Philips Lumea is a handheld device

intended for home use.
