6 Operation
6.1 The first use of the software
Before a balance can be connected to the “PCE-SOFT SC“, it must be configured. For
communication of the software with the scales, it is very important to install the correct module for
the scales in the software.
All modules have specific names which are related to the product names of the scales.
For example, for a PCE-SD 60 CR balance, you would need the module “PCE-SD Serie“.
A balance can be added by clicking on the icon. With the “Basic“ licence, you can control
one balance. With the “Pro“ version, the number of scales is not limited.
When configuring the communication with a balance, you must choose exactly the parameters
appropriate for your balance.
(Serial: baud rate, data bits, stop bits, ... or Ethernet)
