Various uses are possible. Always
comply with the safety instructions
and always handle the device with
care and caution.
Restrictor
Place the restrictor (
13) on the blow-off
pipe (
17). Use the restrictor ( 13) to
obtain selective heat, e.g. to seal plastics
(lms, shrink tubing).
When using the restrictor ( 13),
pay particular attention to the heat
development at the cutting point. If
in doubt, do not stay in the same
place for too long in order to avoid
overheating the workpiece.
Surface nozzle
Place the surface nozzle (
12) on the
blow-off pipe (
17).
Use the surface nozzle (
12) to obtain
heat over a large surface.
It is especially suitable for dissolving adhe-
sive or softening paints.
When using the surface nozzle
(
12), pay particular attention to
the heat development in adjacent
locations of the cutting point. So
that in cases of doubt, no adjacent
component is overheated.
Spatula nozzle
Place the spatula nozzle (
11) on the
blow-off pipe (
17).
The spatula form of the nozzle serves the
purpose of the targeted hot air supply to
paint and lacquer surfaces. The paints and
lacquers can be removed with a spatula
and scraper. The spatula (
11) itself is
not suitable for removing paint.
Grill lighter nozzle
Place the grill lighter nozzle (14) on the
blow-off pipe (
17).
Turn the device on using the on/off switch
(
9).
Place the grill lighter nozzle (14) below the
charcoal. Make sure that the openings of
the grill lighter nozzle (14) are not covered
by charcoal as this creates heat accumula-
tion in the unit, which is a potential re
hazard In just a few minutes the charcoal
is ignited.
Never use other methods for ignit-
ing charcoal at the same time while
using the grill lighter nozzle (14).
Use the grill lighter nozzle (14) only
for the few minutes necessary to
ignite the charcoal.
Never use the grill lighter nozzle
(14) for any other application.
Conical nozzle
Place the conical nozzle (7) on the
blow-off pipe (
17).
Use the conical nozzle (7) to remove
weeds.
To eliminate weeds, use the conical
nozzle on the plant to be removed
for approx. 5-10 seconds.
For higher plants, you can shrink
them by briey heating the upper
part of the plant. Then, use the coni-
cal nozzle on the shrunken plant for
5-10 seconds. The ideal spacing is
3cm (see illustration
).
