Checking the battery charge level
♦ Press the battery charge level button to check
the charge level of the battery. The status/remain-
ing charge will be shown on the battery display
LED
as follows:
GREEN/RED/ORANGE = maximum charge/
performance
RED/ORANGE = medium charge/performance
RED = low charge – charge the battery
Use
Check base plate/blade guard
WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!
► Always disconnect the battery pack be-
fore carrying out any work on the appliance.
♦ Before each use, check that the base plate
and blade guard move freely. Activate the
safety lock-out and hold it in position. Lower
the cordless plunge saw. This allows you to
check the function of the base plate and
blade guard . They must be easy to move.
They must not jam.
♦ After letting go, it must be able to move smoothly
back to its starting position of its own accord.
Switching on and off
Switching on
♦ Activate the safety lock-out and hold it in
position.
♦ Press the ON/OFF switch . Once the ma-
chine is running, you can release the safety
lock-out .
Switching off
♦ Release the ON/OFF switch .
Selecting the cutting depth
NOTE
►
We generally recommend setting the cutting
depth to approx. 2 mm more than the thick-
ness of the material. This ensures that you
achieve a clean cut.
♦ Loosen the screw of the cutting depth prese-
lector . Set the desired cutting depth on the
scale . Tightly clamp the screw of the cutting
depth preselector again.
Fitting the rip fence
♦ Loosen the screw for the rip fence on the
base plate . Insert the rip fence into the
rip fence slot . Retighten the screw for the rip
fence .
♦ Set the desired cutting width using the scale on
the rip fence and the viewing window for the
cutting line .
Handling the cordless plunge saw
1. Place the machine on the material. If necessary,
align the cordless plunge saw with the rip fence
or on a marked line.
2. Activate the safety lock-out
and hold it in
position. Press the ON/OFF switch
.
3. Push the cordless plunge saw downwards so
that the cordless plunge saw lowers onto the
material.
4. Saw by applying moderate pressure.
