Cleaning, maintenance and
storage
WARNING! RISK OF INJURY! Always
switch the appliance off and remove
the battery before carrying out any
work on the appliance.
Have any work that is not described in these in-
structions carried out by a customer service centre
authorised by us. Use only original parts.
Always wear safety gloves when han-
dling the blade.
Switch the appliance off and remove
the contact key t and wait until the
blade is at a complete standstill before
carrying out any maintenance or
cleaning work. There is a risk of per-
sonal injury.
General cleaning and maintenance
work
WARNING!
■ Do not spray the lawnmower with water.
There is a risk of electric shock.
■ Keep the appliance clean at all times. Use a
brush or cloth for cleaning, but do not use
cleaning agents or solvents.
■ After mowing, use a piece of wood or plastic
to remove any plant debris adhering to the
wheels, the air vents, the discharge opening
and the blade area. Do not use any sharp or
pointed objects. You could damage the appli-
ance.
■ Check the lawnmower before every use for
obvious problems such as loose, worn or
damaged parts. Check that all nuts, bolts and
screws are tight.
■ Check covers and guards for damage and
correct fit. Replace them if necessary.
Replacing the blade (see fig. J)
If the blade is blunt, it can be sharpened by a
specialist workshop. If the blade is damaged or
unbalanced, it must be replaced.
♦ Remove the contact key t or the battery pack
p from the appliance.
♦ Turn the appliance over.
♦ Use sturdy gloves and hold the blade d firmly.
Unscrew the blade bolt s by turning it anti-
clockwise with a wrench (spanner size 12) and
remove it from the motor spindle f.
♦ Fit the new blade d in the reverse order. Make
sure that the blade d is correctly positioned
and the blade bolt s is firmly tightened.
Adjusting the cable pull
NOTE
►
If the cable has lengthened over time, use a
hex key to tighten up the cable fastening.
Storage (see fig. K)
♦ Undo the four quick-release levers 3 and fold
the handle 1 and lower shank 6 together so
that the appliance takes up less space. Make
sure that the appliance cable u is not trapped.
– Store the appliance in a dry location,
– out of the reach of children.
♦ Let the motor cool down before placing the
appliance in an enclosed room.
♦ Remove the battery before storing the appli-
ance for an extended period (e.g. over winter).
■ Before storage, ensure that the grass catcher is
clean and free of debris. If necessary, clean
with a soft dry brush.
