■ Do not place your feet or hands near or under
rotating parts. Never stand in front of the grass
discharge opening.
■ Always remove the circuit breaker/contact key
when:
– you move away from the garden appliance
or before clearing blockages,
– if you need to check, clean or work on the
garden appliance,
– after hitting a foreign object. Check the
appliance for damage immediately and
have it repaired if necessary,
– if the garden appliance exhibits unusual
vibrations (check immediately!).
– When starting up or switching on the motor,
do not tilt the lawnmower unless the opera-
tion requires the lawnmower to be raised. In
this case, tilt it only as far as is absolutely
necessary and lift only the side facing away
from the user.
Safety instructions for maintenance
and storage
■ Let the motor cool down before placing the
appliance in an enclosed room.
■ When maintaining the cutting blade, be aware
that the cutting blades can be moved even if the
power source is switched off.
■ Make sure that all nuts, bolts and screws are
tight and that the appliance is in a safe working
condition.
■ Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself
unless you have received the necessary training.
Any work not specified in these operating in-
structions may only be carried out by customer
service centres authorised by us to do so.
■ Store the appliance in a dry place and out of
the reach of children.
■ Handle your appliance with care. Keep the
tools sharp and clean to be able to work better
and more safely. Follow the maintenance in-
structions.
■ Wear protective gloves when changing the
cutting tools.
■ Check the grass catcher regularly for wear and
deformation. For safety reasons, replace worn
or damaged parts. Be especially careful when
adjusting the blades so that your fingers do not
get caught between the rotating blades and
fixed parts of the machine.
■ Use only replacement cutting tools that have
been approved by the manufacturer.
Safety instructions for electrical
safety
■ Do not expose power tools to rain or wet condi-
tions. Water entering a power tool will increase
the risk of electric shock.
■ Do not use any accessories that are not recom-
mended by PARKSIDE. This can lead to an
electric shock or fire.
