n) Do not touch the blade or other dangerous
parts while they are still moving. This will
reduce the risk of an injury caused by moving
parts.
o) Make sure that all switches are turned off
and the battery has been removed before
removing trapped material or cleaning the
lawnmower. Unexpected activation of the
lawnmower can cause serious injury.
Safety instructions when setting up
■ Never allow children or other persons who are
not familiar with the operating instructions to
use the appliance. Local regulations regarding
the minimum age of operators may apply.
■ Never use the appliance while there are by-
standers close by, especially children or pets.
Do not allow children to play with the appli-
ance.
■ The operator or user is responsible for accidents
or damage to other people or their property.
■ Check the area in which the appliance is to be
used and remove any stones sticks, wires or
other foreign bodies that may be caught and
thrown out.
■ Always wear suitable working clothing such as
sturdy footwear with non-slip soles and robust
long trousers. Do not use the appliance while
barefoot or in sandals. Avoid wearing loose
clothing or clothing with hanging laces or belts.
■ Always carry out a visual inspection before use
to check whether the cutting blade, fixing bolts
and the entire cutting unit are worn or dam-
aged. Do not use the appliance if guards (e.g.
impact guard or grass catcher), parts of the
cutting equipment or bolts are missing, worn or
damaged. To avoid an unbalance, worn or
damaged cutting blades and fixing bolts should
only be replaced as a whole set.
■ Be careful when working with appliances with
multiple cutting tools as the movement of one
blade can cause the other blades to move.
■ Use only replacement parts and accessories
supplied and recommended by the manufacturer.
The use of third-party parts will immediately
invalidate your warranty.
■ Worn or damaged warning signs must be
replaced.

■ Do not place your feet or hands near or
under rotating parts when working.
There is a risk of injury!
■ Switch on the motor as instructed and only
when your feet are at a safe distance from the
cutting tools.
■ Do not use the appliance in the rain, especially
during a thunderstorm, in damp environments or
on wet grass. Work only in daylight or good
artificial lighting.
■ Do not work with the appliance if you are tired
or distracted or after consuming alcohol or
tablets. Take regular work breaks. Proceed
with caution when working.
