■ Always switch off the device and remove the
batteries, ...
– if you leave the device unattended;
– before removing a blockage;
– before cleaning, maintaining, checking
or working on the device;
– after contact with a foreign object;
– if the device vibrates unusually.
■ Always keep hands and feet away from the cut-
ting tool, especially when switching on the motor.
■ Always keep the ventilation openings of the
motor free of foreign objects.
■ Never install metallic cutting elements.
■ Always maintain a distance of at least 15 me-
tres from third parties to avoid hazards. If a
person or animal enters the work area, stop
work immediately.
■ Always hold the device on your right side to
ensure maximum control over the device. This
reduces the risk of recoil.
■ Wear close-fitting work clothing that offers
protection, such as long trousers, safety shoes,
heavy-duty protective gloves, safety helmet,
face mask or goggles to protect your eyes and
good ear defenders or other hearing protection
against the noise.
■ Prolonged use of this motorised device can lead to
problems with the blood circulation in the hands
caused by vibrations (Raynaud‘s syndrome). you
can however extend your machine use time by
wearing appropriate gloves or by taking regular
breaks. Please ensure that if you are susceptible to
poor circulation, low outside temperatures or strong
gripping forces while working, this may reduce the
length of time for which you are able to work.
Maintenance and storage
■ Inspect the device for damage after hitting a
hard object or if excessive vibrations occur.
Have any necessary repairs carried out.
■ Always switch off the device and remove the
batteries before cleaning the device or before
maintenance work.
■ Keep your hands away from the line cutter
during cleaning and maintenance work on
the protective cover to avoid injury.
■ Use only original spare parts and accessories.
This is the only way to ensure the safety of the
device. The use of accessories or attachments
that are not specifically recommended by the
manufacturer is considered improper and poses
significant dangers.
The manufacturer cannot be held liable for any
damage resulting from improper use.
■ Have a blunt cutting tool re-sharpened by a
specialised workshop. A blunt or damaged
blade increases the risk of recoil, which could
lead to injuries.
■ The machine must be checked regularly and
maintained. Have the machine repaired in a
licensed workshop.
■ When the machine is not being used, store it
out of the reach of children.
