Before use
Inserting/replacing the soldering tip
NOTE
► All appliances are checked for function
at the end of the production process, so
it is possible that the soldering tips
and
may show a slight discoloura-
tion. This does not mean your origi-
nally packaged appliance is not brand
new.
CAUTION!
RISK OF BURNS!
► Never heat the soldering iron
with-
out a soldering tip .
■ The soldering tip
may only be re-
moved when the appliance is switched
o and the soldering tip has cooled
down.
♦ Unscrew the xing ring

and remove
the sleeve
10a
from the soldering tip .
♦ Pull the soldering tip
out of the mount
10c
and attach a new one. Make sure that
you slide it over the mount
10c
as far as
it will go.
♦ Put the sleeve
10a
back onto the soldering
tip and screw the xing ring
10b
back
on.
Fitting/changing the nozzles
CAUTION!
RISK OF BURNS!
► Before changing the nozzle, you must
ensure that the nozzle has cooled to
avoid burns.
♦ Fit the relevant nozzle
onto the hot air
nozzle .
Fitting the holders
♦ Slide the holder for the hot air blower
onto the mount for the holder
(see Fig. A).
♦ Slide the holder for the solder
onto
the mount for the solder (see Fig. B).
The soldering tin is changed by removing
the cap
(see Fig. B).
♦ Slide the soldering iron stand
onto
the mount for the soldering iron stand
(see Fig. B).
Assembling/disassembling the
soldering iron and hot air blower
♦ Insert the soldering iron plug into the
connection for the soldering iron (see
main illustration).
Secure the plug of the soldering iron
by turning the retaining ring clockwise.
♦ Place the soldering iron
in the soldering
iron stand after assembly. Disassembly
is carried out in reverse order.
♦ Insert the plug of the hot air blower
into the connection for the hot air blower
(see main illustration).
Secure the plug of the hot air blower
by turning the retaining ring clockwise.
♦ After assembly, place the hot air blower
in the holder for the hot air blower .
Disassembly is carried out in reverse
order.
