examination according to EN 14404:2004 + A1:2010. The product
meets the PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425 Category II (PPE = Personal
Protective Equipment). Certified by TÜV Rheinland LGA Products GmbH,
Tillystraße 2, 90431 Nürnberg, Germany, Notified Body No. 0197.
This PPE Type is in conformity with the Regulation (EU) 2016/425 (as
incorporated into UK law). Certified by TUV Rheinland UK Ltd., Friars
Gate (Third Floor), 1011 Stratford Road, Shirley, Solihull, B90 4BN.
Approved Body No. 2571.

Types
Type 1: Kneepad independent of other clothing which is fastened to the
knee.
Type 2: Kneepad which is e.g. attached in pockets in the trouser leg.
Type 3: Equipment which is not attached to the body.
Type 4: Kneepad which is part of equipment with additional functions
such as a frame as support when standing up.
Performance levels
There are 3 different performance levels:
Stage 0 is knee protection suitable for flat surfaces and does not offer
any protection against puncturing.
