Pando Installation Manual
• Never attempt to modify the characteristics of this appliance, as this
constitutes a danger and automatically voids the manufacturer’s
warranty.
• It must be possible and accessible for the user to disconnect the applian-
ce from the power supply after installation. The power plug must be ea-
sily accessible, otherwise it must be tted with an electrical disconnect
switch in accordance with current electrical installation regulations.
• The hood is designed for normal domestic use. It must not be used for
industrial, professional or other purposes other than those for which it
was not designed.
• Special care must be taken when drilling holes in walls or ceilings to
ensure that there are no hidden electrical lines, pipes, iron beams, etc.,
as this can cause serious faults, electrical current shunts or transmis-
sion of noise and vibrations.
• IMPORTANT: When installing the appliance, before making the elec-
trical connections, always disconnect the power panel that will supply
it (diff erential or circuit breaker from the general electrical panel of the
house).
• The installation of the hood and ducts must comply with the standards
in force regarding the ventilation of closed rooms. In particular, the air
evacuated must not be led through a duct used for the discharge of fu-
mes from appliances using gas or other fuels (central heating systems,
etc.).
• The negative pressure in the room must not exceed 0.04mbar. This
condition allows the hood to function optimally. To obtain this atmos-
phere, a permanent air inlet must be provided in order to avoid air
tightness (it is advisable to have a ventilation grille for this purpose).
Windows and doors are not suitable for this purpose.
• The power supply must be stable and in accordance with the electri-
cal requirements indicated (see the nameplate of the appliance). If it
is not stable and receives a supply with variations in voltage, current
or frequency, such as harmonics, transients, voltage dips, overloads,
electrical storms, etc., the hood may malfunction or even break down,
and the repair would not be covered by the guarantee. If this is the
case, the hood should be disconnected and an electrician or electrical
company should be contacted to solve the power supply problem.
During simultaneous operation of a cooker hood with a “suc-
tion system” and a heating system dependent on ambient air
(gas cookers, oil, coal, replace, etc...), great care must be
taken to ensure that the hood does not absorb part of the air
intended for combustion, because dangerous amounts of car-
bon monoxide could accumulate in the room or dwelling, and
this could endanger lives. In the case of installation of an ex-
tractor hood in conjunction with a combustion element such
as a cooker, replace or local heating system, it is mandatory
to contact the manufacturer and installer of these elements, in
order to obtain an optimal and risk-free operation.
Attention!
• Unauthorised tampering with the hood, such as modifying, cutting or
drilling the body, structure or electrical wiring of the hood, or the inter-
nal or external and peripheral motor unit, is expressly forbidden. Such
non-compliance would automatically void the manufacturer’s warranty
and exempt the manufacturer from any liability for personal injury or da-
mage to property.
• LED lamps cannot be manipulated by the user as there is a risk of elec-
tric shock, their manipulation, maintenance or replacement is a task re-
served exclusively for the o cial technical assistance service or authori-
sed specialist installer.
• With the constant intention of improving our products, we reserve the
right to make any modi cations to their technical, functional or aesthetic
characteristics as they evolve.
• To avoid any risk, it is forbidden to tamper with the appliance. If the power
supply cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer throu-
gh the authorised technical service. Repairs involving tampering with the
appliance or its components must only be carried out by an authorised
service technician.
• The extractor hood is a domestic appliance for smoke extraction, it can-
not be used as a support for objects or utensils.
