OPERATION
2. To start the edger,
press and hold the
lock-off switch forward.

trigger to start the
edger. Once started,
the lock-off switch can
be released.
Starting the Lawn Edger

WARNING!: THE LAWN EDGER RUNS FOR A FEW
SECONDS AFTER IT HAS BEEN SWITCHED OFF. LET THE
MOTOR COME TO A COMPLETE STANDSTILL BEFORE
SETTING THE TOOL DOWN.

firmly with both hands.

1. To stop the edger, simply
release the trigger.
For your safety the edger is designed with a lock-off
switch. If only the On/Off trigger is squeezed, the
edger will not operate. This prevents accidental start
up of the edger.
Note: If the lawn edger
begins to slow down due to a
build up of grass in the blade
guard, walk back slightly to
allow the grass to fall out and let the cutting blade to
return to normal speed before continuing forward.
Note: Some sparks may be generated from the cutting
blade while pressed against a solid edge (e.g. concrete)
to be cut, simply align the blade so no contact is made.
WARNING! BEFORE EDGING, ENSURE THE WORK AREA
IS FREE OF ROCKS, DEBRIS, LINES AND OTHER FOREIGN
OBJECTS.
1. Tilt the handle down
so the cutting blade
is sufficiently above
the ground before
starting.
2. Start the edger and allow
the blade to reach full
speed.
3. Slowly raise the
handle to lower the
cutting blade within
the edge to be cut.
4. Walk forward slowly,
keeping the blade
pressed lightly against
the edge to be cut.
WARNING! TO AVOID KICKBACK OF THE EDGER, TILT THE
HANDLE DOWN SUFFICIENTLY SO THE BLADE DOES NOT
CONTACT THE GROUND BEFORE SWITCHING ON.
WARNING! ALWAYS WEAR STURDY, NON-SLIP
FOOTWEAR, LONG TROUSERS, SAFETY GOGGLES AND
GLOVES WHEN USING THE EQUIPMENT. NEVER USE
EQUIPMENT BAREFOOT OR IN SANDALS.

The lawn edger is designed for edging and landscaping
tasks to help keep your lawn edges and yard looking
neat and tidy. The equipment is intended for private
use i.e. for use in home and gardening environments.
Public facilities, parks, sporting grounds, along
roadways, or agriculture and forestry are excluded.
