BLENDING TIPS
• Put liquids in the jar rst, unless a recipe says otherwise.
• Crushing Ice: Crush 6 ice cubes or approximately 2 cups of ice at a time.
• Do not remove the lid while in use. Remove ller cap to add smaller ingredients.
• Hot Foods: Open the ller cap to vent steam. Tilt ller cap away from you. Keep hands
away from the cover opening to prevent possible burns. When working with hot liquids,
remove ller cap and start blending at a low speed then move to a faster speed. Do not
add liquid over the 4 cup (1 Liter) level.
• Cut all rm fruits and vegetables, cooked meats, sh and seafood into pieces no larger
than 3/4 inch (1.8 cm) to 1 inch (2.5 cm). Cut all kinds of cheeses into pieces no larger
than 3/4 inch (1.8 cm).
• PULSE function should be used to help dislodge and mix foods.
MANUAL CONTROLS
1. Turn dial to desired speed and blend ingredients to desired
consistency.
2. Turn dial to the off “O” position to stop the blender and turn blender off.
3. The “REVERSIBLE PULSE” feature allows you to fully control and
take full advantage of the benets of your blender’s reversible motor
technology.
• Reversible Pulse Function: With the Reversible Pulse function, the
motor will rotate the blades in the opposite direction to completely
process all the ingredients.
To use the reversible pulse function, turn the knob to the reversible ‘R’ position. Release
the pulse control and let the blades stop. Repeat the cycle as desired.
Use the “REVERSIBLE PULSE” to draw food towards the blade. The maximum
continuous operation time of the “REVERSIBLE PULSE” is 5 seconds.
4. Repeat cycle as desired.
