Operation
6.1 Mixer unit
1) Prior to switching on, turn down the MAIN LEVEL control for the overall level to the left stop position to
avoid a possible switching-on noise.
2) Connect the included microphone or any dynamic microphone to the XLR input. Connect audio devices
with line level to the RCA inputs. Use standard stereo RCA cables to connect e.g. a CD player, keyboard
or MP3 player to this input.
3) First switch on the connected audio sources, then switch on the speaker system. The POWER indicator
lights up green. If the red battery indicator lights up during battery operation, the battery must be
charged.
4) Adjust the MAIN LEVEL control to a level that the subsequent adjustments can be heard well via the
speaker system.
5) Adjust the desired volume ratio of the signal sources with the level controls of the input channels. Turn
the controls of the inputs not used to zero.
Notes
• The AUX channel works in parallel to the built-in audio player, which means the audio player signal can
be heard at the same time as audio coming in through the RCA connections.
• Do not direct any microphones to speakers. This can result in dangerous and unpleasant acoustic
feedback which will generate a loud whistling sound.
6) Optimize the sound of the mixed signal with the tone controls.
7) An echo effect created via the integrated effect processor can be added to the microphone channel.
Adjust the effect intensity with the ECHO control.
8) Determine the definite level for the overall volume of the speaker system with the MAIN LEVEL control.
In case of overload the red PEAK indicator lights up. If it lights continuously, turn back the MAIN LEVEL
control accordingly.
9) After operation, switch off the speaker system first. The power indicator goes out. The automatic
charging for the rechargeable battery is always active even if the unit is switched off. To prevent
unnecessary power consumption, always disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket if the unit is
not used for a longer period.
