Installing Your Freestanding Cooker (Continued)
Nominal Test Point Pressures:
Natural Gas = 1.00kPa LPG = 2.75kPa
For further technical information regarding your unit,
please see the next page and the chapter Technical
Specifications’, and your cookers rating label.
Testing the Gas Supply
Check the manometer zero point is correct. Then connect the
manometer to the cooktop pressure point. This is located on the
regulator.
Turn on the gas supply and electricity and try to ignite the gas.
Note that it will take additional time to light the gas for the first time
as air needs to be purged from the pipes.
Following this, with the appliance operating, carefully check the
outlet pressure:
First with all burners of operating at maximum, followed by
operating. the smallest burner at minimum.
Under these conditions the outlet pressure should not vary from
the nominal outlet pressure of 1.00kPa by more than
 0.20kPa.
If the regulator appears to not be performing satisfactorily, then
check the following points:
If the outlet pressure is consistently too low then the inlet
pressure may be too low and adjustment of an upstream
regulator may be needed, or an upstream regulator or valve with
insufficient flow capacity may be present in the gas supply line.
If this is suspected then it may be necessary to repeat the
checks whilst measuring both the inlet and outlet pressure to
determine if the inlet pressure is in the range 1.13 – 5kPa.
Check that the regulator has been fitted to the gas supply line
in the correct orientation, the arrow on the base of the body
indicates the direction of gas flow.
Once these checks have been completed, if the regulator still fails
to perform in a satisfactory manner it should be replaced.
LPG Conversion
Your cooktop has been set up for natural gas usage, however a
conversion kit is included with the product for universal LPG usage.
The conversion kit contains the appropriate injectors and an LPG
sticker.
WARNING: Only licensed gas fitters may perform this conversion.
Incorrect conversion can lead to gas leaks, fire, or explosion, and
will void the product warranty.
To ensure proper operation, the gas pressure of this appliance
must be verified to be 2.75 kPa. The test point is located at the
Auxiliary burner injector.
Please follow the procedure below if a conversion to suit
UNIVERSAL LPG is required:
Ensure the appliance is disconnected from electrical and gas
supply.
Take off trivets, burner caps, and burner heads.
Using a 7mm socket spanner, unscrew and remove
the Natural Gas injectors.
Replace with LPG injectors supplied in the conversion kit.
Refer to the “Burner and Injector Characteristics Table” for
correct sizing.
Change gas regulator: Remove the Natural Gas regulator from
the gas inlet.
Fit the LPG test point assembly in its place.
Ensure the LPG regulator used at the cylinder or supply point
delivers a pressure of 29mbar.
Adjust burner minimum flame (by-pass screw):
Light each burner and turn the knob to the lowest setting.
Remove the knob to access the by-pass screw located above
the valve shaft.
Using a flathead screwdriver: turn the screw clockwise to
close fully, then open the screw by the following number of
turns:
Triple ring: 1 turn
Rapid: ¾ turn
Semi-rapid: ½ turn
Auxiliary: ⅜ turn
