Filling the water tank
ATTENTION!
► Fill the water tank
6 with pure tap water.
If necessary, add a few drops of mouth-
wash. The water tank
6 should never be
completely filled with additives such as
mouthwash or mouth rinse.
► Use only cold or lukewarm water with a
maximum temperature of 40°C. Do not fill
the water tank
6 with hot water.
You can fill/top up the water tank
6 at any
time without removing it from the appliance:
1) Take the handpiece
5 with the attached
empty water tank 6 from the charging
station q. Hold the switched-off handpiece
5 horizontally.
2) Open the water tank lid
7 and fill the tank
with water through the filling opening 7.
3) Close the water tank lid

Fitting / removing

Note
► Make certain that the handpiece 5 is
switched off before fitting or removing the
attachments 2.
► The appliance comes with two attachments
2 with different coloured marking rings for
different users.
► If used daily, replace the attachments 2
after no more than six months.
► Use only the attachments
2 recommend-
ed by the manufacturer. Information on
ordering replacement attachments 2 can
be found in the section Ordering replace-

this appliance (*Panasonic is a registered
trademark of Panasonic Corporation).
♦ To fit an attachment
2 to the handpiece
5, insert it into the attachment socket 3.
Press the attachment 2 down until it com-
pletely engages in the attachment socket 3.
♦ To remove an attachment
2 from the
handpiece 5, press the release button i
and pull the attachment 2 upwards off the
handpiece 5.
♦ Attachments 2 that are not in use can
be placed in one of the holders 9 on the
charging station q.
Before first use
1) Rinse the attachments 2 in clean water.
One attachment 2 can be placed into one
of the holders 9 on the charging station
q. Fit the other attachment 2 onto the
handpiece 5.
2) Pull the water tank
6 downwards off the
handpiece 5 and rinse the water tank 6
in clean water.
3) Push the water tank 6 back onto the
handpiece 5 until it clicks into place
completely. Ensure that the intake tube is in
the water tank 6.
4) Fill the water tank 6 as described in the
section Filling the water tank.
5) Point the nozzle
1 of the attachment
2 downwards into a washbasin. When
doing so, make sure that you do not tilt the
handpiece 5 too far forwards. Otherwise,
the intake tube will no longer reach water
or water could leak out of the air supply
openings 4.
6) Press the On/Off button u. The
handpiece 5 starts pumping water and
discharging it via the nozzle 1. Let the
handpiece 5 run until the water tank 6 is
empty. This flushes all internal lines.
7) Press the On/Off button u to switch off
the handpiece 5.
