NOT CARRY OUT ASSEMBLY, ADJUSTMENT OR OPERATION OF
THE EQUIPMENT.
SPECIFIC SAFETY REGULATIONS ATTENTION!
The following safety information i s a guideline to help you operate the
70 litre oil skimmer under the safest possible conditions. Any tool or piece
of equipment can be potentially dangerous to use if the safety or safe
handling instructions are not known or followed. The following safety
instructions are intended to provide the user with the information
necessary for safe use and operation. Read and retain these instructions
for the continued safe use of the 70 litre capacity oil beaker. Failure to
follow the instructions below could result in serious injury. In addition,
ensure that anyone using the equipment understands and follows these
safety instructions.
SAFETY RULES
• Get to know your tool. Read this manual carefully. Familiarise
yourself with the uses and limitations of the tool, as well as the
potential hazards associated with its use.
• The workplace should be clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark
workplaces are conducive to accidents.
• Keep children away. All children should be kept away from the work
area. Never allow children to operate the tool without close adult
supervision.
• DO NOT operate this tool while under the influence of alcohol or
drugs. Read the warning labels on prescriptions to determine if your
judgement or reflexes are impaired while taking medication. If in any
doubt, DO NOT attempt to operate the device.
• Use protective equipment. Always wear safety glasses when
working with this tool. ANSI approved safety glasses must be used.
Ordinary goggles are NOT safety glasses. A dust mask, non-slip
safety shoes, or hearing protection should be used under
appropriate conditions.
• Appropriate clothing should be worn. All clothing should be kept
away from the tool.
• DO NOT reach too high. Always maintain correct posture and
balance when working with this tool.
• Check for damage. The tool should be checked regularly. If a part of
the tool is damaged, it should be checked carefully to ensure that it
can perform its function properly. If in doubt, the part should be
repaired. Have any servicing done by a qualified technician. Consult
your dealer for advice.
• Keep away from flammable materials. DO NOT use this tool near
flammable materials. Failure to do so may result in serious injury or
death.
• Store unused tools out of the reach of children and untrained
persons. Tools can be dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
• Tools should be maintained with due care.
• Tools should be dry and clean.
• Properly maintained tools are less prone to jamming and easier to
control. DO NOT use damaged tools. Damaged tools should be
marked "DO NOT USE" until repaired.
• Check that moving parts are not displaced or jammed, that they are
not broken and that there are no other conditions that may affect the
performance of the tool.
• If necessary, the tool should be maintained before use. Many
accidents are caused by poorly maintained tools.
• Only use accessories recommended by the manufacturer for the
model in question. Accessories that may be suitable for one tool may
become dangerous when used on another tool.
• The tool must only be serviced by qualified personnel. Service or
maintenance performed by unqualified personnel may result in a risk
of injury.
• Only identical spare parts should be used when servicing the tool.
The use of unauthorised parts or failure to follow the maintenance
instructions may result in a risk of injury.
• Maintain a safe working environment. Maintain a well-lit working
area. Ensure there is adequate working space around. Keep the
work area free of obstructions, grease, oil, debris and other debris.
• Keep the labels and nameplates on this product. They contain
important information.
• The handle should be dry, clean and free of brake fluid, and grease.
• Before use, read and understand all warnings, precautions and
instructions described in the vehicle manufacturer's service manual.
It is beyond the scope of this manual to correctly describe the correct
procedure and test data for each vehicle.
• Keep hoses and tools away from moving parts. Always keep away
from moving engine parts. Hoses and tools can be thrown into the
air if they are not kept away from moving engine parts.
• Unexpected vehicle movement can cause injury or death. Always
apply the parking brake or lock the wheels when working on
vehicles.
• Avoid accidental fire and/or explosion. DO NOT smoke near engine
or battery components.
• The warnings, precautions and instructions discussed in this manual
do not cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur.
The operator remember that common sense and caution are factors
that cannot be built into this product, but must be provided by the
operator.
• For safety reasons and to prevent damage to expensive
components, it is recommended that the user has knowledge of
basic car repairs and a working knowledge of car systems.
• We believe that the information contained in this document is
