4.2 THE TD200 CONTROLLER LOCATION:
Start the system setup at the TD200 controller. Otherwise you may waste time because the network
can not be setup if the TD200 is not turned on. The antenna and controller mounting should both be
done at the start. When powered on, the TD200 controller sends out the radio signals and permits
the appropriate TWIG units to join with it. The following are the steps to take for installing and
setting up a system. If a TWIG-Repeater is going to be used then it needs to be powered on too.
Don’t turn on the TWIGs until the TD200 controller and any TWIG-Repeater are powered on.
STEP1: Consider the location for both the controller and the antenna. Balance the benets when
choosing where the TD200 is situated.

• Operator present
during start-up.
• Direct owmeter
connection.
• Closer to the eld.
• TD200 at HQ:
• Electrical service.
• Internet may be there
for future connection.
• Better protection
from the weather.
