NOTICE – RISK OF DAMAGE TO
MATERIAL AND PROPERTY FROM
BATTERIES
■ Use only the battery type specifi ed in
the technical data.
■ Take batteries out of the remote control
when they are dead or if you will not
be using the remote control for a
prolonged period. This will prevent any
damage caused by leaks.
■ Do not use the remote control if a
battery has leaked. Remove dead bat-
teries from the battery compartment
immediately.
BEFORE INITIAL USE
○ Remove any possible fi lms, stickers or
transport protection from the device.
Never remove the rating plate and any
possible warnings!
○ Unpack the fi lters
:
○ Reach into the recess on the fi lter
cover (17) and pull it towards you to
release it from the main unit (3).
○ Take off the fi lter cover.
○ Hold the pre-fi lter (16) by its handles
and pull it out of the main unit.
○ Remove the HEPA fi lter (15) and the
activated carbon fi lter (14) from the
main unit.
○ Unpack the HEPA fi lter and activated
carbon fi lter and place back in the
device. When you do this, ensure
the correct sequence and correct
fi t (Picture C, loops must be facing
forwards).
○ Insert the pre-fi lter (handles fi rst)
with the locking lugs into the
recesses on the main unit, and then
press fi rmly on all sides. You must
hear and feel it engage.
○ First insert the front cover with the
locking lugs at the bottom into the
recesses on the main unit, and then
press it against the main unit at
the top. You must hear and feel it
engage.
○ Insert batteries into the remote
control (see the “Inserting / Replacing
Batteries” chapter).
INSERTING / REPLACING
BATTERIES
Before inserting the batteries, check
whether the contacts in the remote control
and on the batteries are clean, and clean
them if necessary.
1. Slide the battery compartment cover
in the direction of the arrow and take
it off.
2. Take out used batteries and insert two
new ones (1.5 V; AAA). Pay attention to
the correct polarity (+ / –).
3. Insert the battery compartment cover
in the remote control and slide it shut.
You must hear and feel it engage.
Replace the batteries if the power of the
remote control starts to wane.

SAFETY DEVICE
The device has a safety switch (11) in
the main unit(3). The device can only
be switched on if the fi lter cover (17) is
fi tted correctly and the safety switch is
activated by the counterpiece(18) on the
fi lter cover (automatic switch-off function
deactivated). If the fi lter cover is removed
during operation, the automatic switch-
off function is activated and the device
switches off.
