3. USE GUIDELINES
The device is used to extend the distance between the
source of water or compressed air and the place where
they are used. Model MSW-PHR15 can also work with oil.
The user is liable for any damage resulting from
unintended use of the device.
3.1. DEVICE DESCRIPTION

q) Do not move or transport the device when the inlet
valve is open.
r) To avoid damage, make sure that a correct spanner is
used to hold the rotary valve while the pressure hose
connector is being screwed to the reel.
s) Do not exceed the maximum hose length given in
the technical parameters table for the given model.
t) If a new installation is made or if the oil in the pipes
is contaminated, ush the lines before installing the
device. No dirt must get into the device. Only the
MSW-PHR15 model can work with oil.
u) Do not use contaminated liquids as the source of
supply.
v) Drain the system with extreme care to minimize the
risk of accidents and serious injuries.
w) Ground the device to minimize the risk of static
electricity.
x) Use Teon tape or sealant for oil-resistant pipes on
all the threaded connectors of the device. Only the
MSW-PHR15 model can work with oil.

1. Teon tape or pipe sealant are recommended to seal
the device’s threaded connectors.
2. Pass the hose through the hose hole in the
device’s protective frame.
3. Screw the hose connection into the reel connector.
4. Wind the hose onto the reel spool (do not exceed
the hose length given in the technical parameters
table for the given model).
MSW-HR15, MSW-HR30, MSW-HR45, MSW-HR20.
1. Align the device holder with the 3 holes in the reel
ange. Fix the handle to the reel with 3 bolts, nuts
and washers.
NOTE: The nuts must be on the handle side.
2. To attach the reel, put the screws through the 4
holes in the base and screw to the appropriate work
surface.
3. Seal the threaded connector of the supply hose with
Teon tape or pipe sealer and connect the supply
hose to the source of compressed air or water.
4. Seal the threaded connector of the pressure line with
Teon tape or pipe sealant and connect the hose to
the rotary valve of the reel.
5. Wind the hose onto the reel.
MSW-PHR15
Depending on where the device is put, it may be necessary
to adjust the position of the hose guide arm. The following
illustrations may help to optimally position the hose guide
arm.
Before using MSW-PHR15
1. Check if the device is working properly by pulling the
hose slowly. You should hear a clicking sound after
each half-turn of the reel.
2. To lock the device, pull the hose and let it back when
you hear a click.
Adjusting MSW-PHR 15
1. Spring tension adjustment.
If necessary, adjust the reel spring tension by adding
or removing hose coils on the reel until the desired
tension is obtained.

ATTENTION! Despite the safe design of the device
and its protective features, and despite the use of
additional elements protecting the operator, there is
still a slight risk of accident or injury when using the
device. Stay alert and use common sense when using
the device.
3.2. PREPARING FOR USE
APPLIANCE LOCATION
The ambient temperature must not exceed 45°C. The device
workplace should provide immediate access to the valve that
disables the supply of compressed air or water. Make sure
that the pressure of the air supplied to the device does not
exceed the recommended range.
ASSEMBLING THE APPLIANCE
IMPORTANT! Before assembling the device, make sure
that the supply pressure does not exceed the maximum
permissible value given in the technical data table.
MSW-HR15W and MSW-HR30W
For MSW-HR15W and MSW-HR30W models, suitable hoses
must be installed (no hoses included) with connection
dimensions compatible with the device's connectors. During
assembly, follow the assembly instructions for models MSW-
HR15, MSW-HR30, MSW-HR45, MSW-HR20.
a) Keep pulling out the hose until the pawl locks.
b) Loosen the cap nut (on the side of the reel opposite
to the supply connector) and add one hose coil to
the reel to increase the spring tension or take away
one hose coil to reduce the spring tension.
c) Tighten the cap nut and adjust its position.
IMPORTANT! Do not exceed the allowable spring
strength when increasing its tension. Only add
enough coils to achieve the desired tension. The
winding mechanism will be damaged if the spring is
too tense.
2. Removing and adjusting the position of the guide
arm:
Choose the correct position of the guide arm
depending on the location and direction of the
device.
a) Keep pulling the hose out until the pawl locks.
b) Remove the cap nut and bolts.
c) Release the pawl while holding the reel of the device
to prevent uncontrolled rotation. Turn the reel two or
three times in the direction in which the spring works
until tension is relieved.
d) Remove the bolts / nuts and washers connecting the
guide arm to the base of the device.
e) Turn the guide arm to one of the 3 positions shown
in the gure.
f) Screw back the nuts and washers.
g) Restore the spring tension by turning the reel two or
three times, then engage the pawl to prevent return
movement.
h) Pull the hose through the hole with rollers in the
guide arm and screw on the cap nut.
3.3. DEVICE USE
• In order to expand the hose, it is necessary to pull
and to unwind it until the desired length is reached.
• In the course of winding, it is necessary to hold the
hose end so that it will not be damaged.
• For the MSW-PHR15 model: Roll up the hose (Do not
let it go freely, control its movement)
• For models MSW-HR30P, MSW-HR15, MSW-HR30,
MSW-HR45, MSW-HR20, MSW-HR15W and MSW-
HR30W, the hose should be wound up using the
handle.
• Do not pull the hose when it is fully unwound from
the drum. This may cause locking of the retractor or
damage to the hose itself.
• Before unwinding or winding the hose, it is always
necessary to make sure that the supplying device
and the receiving device have been unfastened.
3.4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
a) Before each cleaning, adjustment, exchange of
accessories and when the device is not being used,
close the valve and disconnect the device from the
source of supply.
