k) It is forbidden to interfere with the structure of the device in order to change its parameters or
construction.
2.3. Safe device use
a) Do not overload the device. Use appropriate tools for the given task. A correctly selected device will
perform the task for which it was designed better and in a safer manner.
b) When not in use, store in a safe place, away from children and people not familiar with the device,
who have not read the user manual. The device may pose a hazard in the hands of inexperienced users.
c) Maintain the device in a good technical state. Before each use, check for general damage and
especially check for cracked parts or elements and for any other conditions which may impact the safe
operation of the device. If damage is discovered, hand over the device for repair before use.
d) Keep the device out of the reach of children.
e) Device repair or maintenance should be carried out by qualified persons, only using original spare
parts. This will ensure safe use.
f) To ensure the operational integrity of the device, do not remove factory-fitted guards and do not
loosen any screws.
g) When transporting and handling the device between the warehouse and the destination, take into
account the occupational health and safety principles for manual transport operations which apply in
the country.
h) Use the device to work elements of parameters conforming with the data given in the technical data
table. Do not exceed the permissible dimensions of the worked material.
i) Do not work two workpieces at the same time.
j) Long workpieces must be supported and set stably for working.
k) Mount the device on a stable, dry, and flat surface of a size that is adapted to the device and worked
material overall dimensions.
l) The floor at the workstation should be anti-slip.
ATTENTION! Despite the safe design of the device and its protective features, and despite the use
of additional elements protecting the operator, there is still a slight risk of accident or injury when
using the device. Stay alert and use common sense when using the device.
3. Use guidelines
The product is designed for bending water pipes, rigid conduits, and heavy-gauge galvanized pipes commonly
used in commercial applications. For thin-walled pipes or conduits, fill them with sand and securely cap the
ends before bending to prevent deformation.
The user is liable for any damage resulting from unintended use of the device.
Safety principles
1. Know your tool. Read this manual carefully. Learn the tool’s applications and limitations, as well as specific
potential hazards peculiar to it.
2. Do not expose the tool to moisture. Don’t use this tool in damp or wet locations. Keep out of rain.
3. Keep the work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark work areas invite accidents.
4. Keep children away. All children should be kept away from the work area.
5. Do not operate this tool if under the influence of alcohol or drugs or feel tired. Read warning labels on
prescriptions to determine if your judgment or reflexes are impaired while taking drugs. If there is any
doubt, do not attempt to operate.
6. Use safety equipment. Eye protection should be worn at all times when operating this tool. Use ANSI-
approved safety glasses. Everyday eyeglasses are not safety glasses. Dust masks, non-skid safety shoes,
hard hats, and hearing protection should be used in appropriate conditions.
