First start-up and operating check: Once the appliance has been safely assembled,
connect the cord to a compliant electrical socket and carry out the following steps:
Set the timer selector switch to “ON”.
Press the “H” button and check that, within a few seconds, heat begins to radiate
from the head.
Press the button and check that the head begins to swing alternately to the
right and left.
Press the “OFF” button and check that, within a few seconds, the appliance stops
emitting heat.
If the results match the description above, the appliance is ready for use. Otherwise,
contact your dealer for further checks.
5. USING THE APPLIANCE
Use of the appliance involves the lamp heating the air in the room where it is
installed, and, if applicable, distributing it thanks to the swinging head movement.
There are two heating levels, proportional to the power level of the halogen lamp:
“H” mode evidently improves the speed at which the room is heated but does not
necessarily generate greater long-term comfort; to the contrary, an overly high
temperature can cause excessive dehydration of the air and rarefaction of the
oxygen in the room, thus resulting in less comfort and higher energy consumption.
The use of “L” heating is therefore preferable, where possible.
The control panel buttons:
“H” button: Activates the higher intensity heating
“L” button: Activates the lower intensity heating
“OFF” button: Stops the operation of the appliance and head swing function
Switch : Activates the head swing function
There is also a timer selector switch that performs the following functions:
ON: Fully manual control: the appliance continuously performs the function selected
using the buttons below
OFF: Appliance off: no function is performed, even if one or more of the buttons
below are pressed
Turning the timer selector switch to the right allows a duration to be set (from 10 to
60 minutes), after which the appliance switches from operating mode to off mode.
The appliance resumes operation as soon as the selector switch is moved past the
OFF position. The selector switch can be turned to the left to stop the appliance
before the timer has run out.
