OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

WARNING

Fire Hazard

Never place items in the washer that are dampened

with gasoline or other flammable fluids.

No washer can completely remove oil.

Do not dry anything that has ever had any type of oil on

it (including cooking oils).

Doing so can result in death, explosion, or fire.

WARNING: Do not wash water resistant or water repellent type clothing.

Failure to closely follow these instructions may result in an abnormal

vibrating and out-of-balance condition that could result in physical injury,

property damage and/or appliance damage.

Add HE detergent and laundry products

and close the drawer. Add liquid

chlorine bleach to the dispenser cup as

needed.

Sort & Load Laundry then

close the lid.

Touch Power

Select Cycle and Adjust Options.

Touch and Hold Start/

Pause to Begin Cycle.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT CYCLE & HOW TO LOAD

For best performance, load items by dropping them in loose heaps

evenly around the basket wall. Do not lay items lengthwise.

NOTE: If the washer detects an out-of-balance condition, it will

attempt to resolve the issue by redistributing the load. During this

process, the machine will display a visual alert and automatically

resume the cycle once the task is complete.

CLEANING THE PET PRO FILTER CONNECT YOUR SMART APPLIANCE

Impeller: Press the button to

unlock the filter and turn it

counterclockwise to remove it

from the base.

Agitator: Turn the filter

counterclockwise to remove it

from the base.

Remove pet hair from the

outside and inside of filter. Filter

is intended to be cleaned after

each cycle. If the filter is not

cleaned, remaining hair can

reduce the filter’s effectiveness.

Impeller: To reinstall the filter, place it in the base, push

down, and rotate clockwise until it locks. Ensure the filter is

securely locked before starting a cycle. A properly locked

impeller filter will produce a snapping sound when securely

engaged, while the agitator filter will be unable to rotate

counterclockwise.

Agitator: To reinstall the filter, place it in the base and rotate

clockwise until it locks. Ensure the filter is securely locked

before starting a cycle. A locked agitator filter will be unable

to rotate counterclockwise, while the impeller filter will snap

when engaged.

Cycle Guide

Normal cycle with warm water is recommended for cottons, linens and mixed garment loads. Please refer to garment label instructions for best care. Find the full Cycle Guide online for more information on defualt/

available settings for each cycle.

NOTE: Not all cycles, settings or options are available with all models.

Cycle Name Cycle Description

Normal

Use this cycle for normally soiled cottons, linens, and mixed fabric loads.

Delicates

Use this cycle to wash lightly soiled items indicating “Machine Washable Silks” or “Gentle” cycle on the care label. Place small items in mesh garment bags before washing. This cycle uses a

higher pre-set water level.

Quick Wash

Use this cycle to quickly wash lightly soiled garments and small loads. The Quick Wash cycle uses shorter periods of more intense washing to clean items quickly.

Heavy Duty

Use this cycle for heavily soiled or sturdy items that need additional cleaning effort. Water Level Sensing process may take longer for some items than others because they will absorb more

water than other fabric types.

Bulky Items

Use this cycle to wash large items such as jackets, sleeping bags, sheets, and small comforters. The washer will fill with enough water to wet down the load before the wash portion of the cycle

begins, and uses a higher water level than other cycles.

Towels

Provides additional water and alternating wash action for heavily soiled loads including Towels, Jeans, and other sturdy fabrics.

Whites

This cycle, when used with chlorine bleach, improves whitening of soiled white fabrics.

Colors

Use this cycle to wash bright or darkly colored garments, including mixed loads and active wear.

Sanitize w/ Oxi

Use this cycle to eliminate 99.9% of bacteria when used in conjunction with Oxi additives on heavily soilded and colorfast fabrics. Preset cycle settings must be used to achieve proper

sanitization. Be sure to add an Oxi product to the basket before starting cycle.

Custom Cycle

Create your own unique cycle from scratch or select one of our pre-made included speciality cycles in the Maytag™ App. See Connectivity section for more information.

Drain & Spin

A high speed spin with the option of a rinse only cycle for loads requiring an additional spin-out to reduce drying times or an additional rinse cycle to refresh a load or complete a cycle after

power interruption. If you wish to run a Rinse & Spin Cycle, select the Drain & Spin cycle and then select the Extra Rinse Option.

Clean Washer

with affresh

Use this cycle every 30 washes to keep the inside of your washer fresh and clean. Use with affresh

Washer Cleaner tablet or liquid chlorine bleach to thoroughly clean the inside of your

washer.

IMPORTANT: Do not place garments or other items in the washer during the Clean Washer with affresh

cycle.

PRESS FOR

The Extra Power option boosts stain fighting with an intense pre-wash and extra agitation, so you can walk away while stains wash away. Activate this option by pressing the Extra Power button

(located on the central knob or console, depending on your the model).

The Pet Pro option unleashes additional water and a deep rinse to assist the Pet Pro Filter, which lifts and captures pet hair from clothes. Once removed, pet hair is caught in the built-in Pet Pro

Filter for a clean you can see. See below for more information on cleaning the Pet Pro Filter.

NOTE: Do not put pets in the washer.

The Deep Fill option gives you more water when you want it with Medium, High, or Max Fill options. The extra water works with robust wash action to saturate loads, loosen stains and help soak

away tough messes.
