Linear phase filtering necessarily introduces delay; the
laws of physics demand it. To keep this delay to
a minimum, we recommend that more conventional
crossover shapes (such as Linkwitz-Riley) are used for the
very lowest frequency high pass edge, particularly if this is
less than about 100Hz, which is well below the frequency
thought to cause audible ‘Group Delay Distortion’.
This constant delay will depend on the lowest high pass
frequency used in the crossover filters in a given Drive
Module (page 6). For further details, see Latency delay
(page 50).
To edit the high pass filter
1. Press OUTPUT to select the channel. For details, see
Selecting the output channel (page 24).
2. Press the up arrow button▲several times
untilHPFappears top left (usually two presses).
3. Rotate
ADJUST(the right-hand dial) to change the
frequency. To remove the high pass filter, turn the dial
to the left until<<Outappears.
4. RotateSELECT(the left-hand dial) to
chooseShapeand rotateADJUST(the right-hand dial)
to select the high pass filter type (see above).
5. Press UTILITY to exit the menu or press OUTPUT
several times to step through the channels.
Output delay
Use the DEL menu item to add a delay to an output
channel. See also Latency delay (page 50).
To update output delay
1. Press OUTPUT to select the channel. For details, see
Selecting the output channel (page 24).
2. Press the up arrow button▲several times
untilDELappears top left (usually one press).
3. RotateADJUST(the right-hand dial) to change the
delay in ms. To remove the delay, set the delay to
0ms.
4. Press UTILITY to exit the menu or press OUTPUT
several times to step through the channels.
