3. Rotate ADJUST (the right-hand dial) to choose the

Store preset
Use the input STOR menu item to store input presets. To
recall presets, see Recall preset (page 18).
Note that the amplifier also has output
presets (page 24).
To store a preset
1. PressINPUT to select the channel. For details, see
Selecting the input channel (page 18).
2. Press the down arrow button several times until
STOR appears top left (usually two presses).
3. Rotate
ADJUST (the right-hand dial) to choose preset
number (1 to 50).
4. Press ENTER to choose this preset number.
5. You can now enter a name for the preset, by rotating
ADJUST (the right-hand dial) to select each character
and rotating SELECT (the left-hand dial) to select the
position in the name.
6. Press ENTER to choose this name.
7. Press ENTER to confirm or press the down arrow
button
to cancel.
8. Press UTILITY to exit the menu or pressINPUT several
times to step through the channels.
Routing
Use the IN menu item to set up routing.
Routing allows you to route any physical analogue or
digital signal channel to any DSP input. This is effectively
a matrix mixing system where all DSPs can be driven
from any one input or from any two, three or four inputs.
Summed inputs have 6dB of attenuation so that a sum of
largely similar programme material remains at the correct
calibrated level.
To set up routing
1. Press
INPUT to select the channel. For details, see
Selecting the input channel (page 18).
2. Press the down arrow button several times until IN
appears top left (usually three presses).
3. Rotate
ADJUST (the right-hand dial) to choose the
routing for this channel. This can be 1, 2, 1+2, 3, 4,
3+4, 1+3, 1+4, 2+3, 2+4, 123, 1234, 124, 134, 234.
4. If you are on channel A, press the down arrow button
so that STYLE appears top right and rotate ADJUST
(the right-hand dial) to choose Combo or Matrix. This
menu item isn't available for channels B, C and D and
isn't support by Vu-Net (page 36).
5. Press UTILITY to exit the menu or pressINPUT several
times to step through the channels.
Routing style
Use the IN Style menu item to set the routing style to
Combo rather than Matrix.
Withmatrix-style routing, you can not only 'patch' inputs
to different DSP channels, but also set a relative 'mix'
level to them. However, we don't support matrix routing,
and it isn't available in Vu-Net (page 36). If routing
style is set to Matrix it causes inconsistent routing
when synchronising between hardware and software in
Vu-Net (page 36).
If you have used System Engineer (for example, to
download log files), check that the routing style is still set
to Combo at the front panel.
You can only view and edit the routing
style at the front panel. You can't
view and edit routing style in Vu-
Net (page 36).
To set routing style
1. PressINPUT to select the channel. For details, see
Selecting the input channel (page 18).
Make sure you select channel A. You
can only set routing style when the
channel is A.
