4. Installthebatterycartridgeinplaceandturnthe
tool on.
5. Pull the nail pusher towards the magazine slit and
hold it in place. Then place the contact element against
thematerialthatcanbedamaged.
6. Pull the switch trigger fully, with the contact ele-
ment actuated, to reset the driver position .

Thedriverpositionwillbeinitializedcorrectly.
7. Removethebatterycartridgefromthetool.
Reloadthenailstripinthemagazine.Placethebattery
cartridgebackintothetool.

mayresultinseriousinjury.
CAUTION: Always be sure that the tool is
switched o and the battery cartridge is removed
before attempting to perform inspection or
maintenance.
NOTICE: Never use gasoline, benzine, thinner,
alcohol or the like. Discoloration, deformation or
cracks may result.
To maintain product SAFETY and RELIABILITY,
repairs,anyothermaintenanceoradjustmentshould
beperformedbyMakitaAuthorizedorFactoryService
Centers, always using Makita replacement parts.
Preventive maintenance
Thoroughly clean and inspect moving components (i.e.,
contactelement,nailpusher,etc.)onaregularbasis,
keeping them free of dust and dirt that may accumulate
over time.
NOTE: If the moving and sliding components, as fol-
lowingillustrated,seemtoworkpoorlyorineciently,
blowanydirtanddustadheredaroundoandthen
wipe clean.
