6. Start-up
1. Remove all packaging materials.
2. Check whether all parts are available and unda-
maged.
If this is not the case, notify the specified service
address.
6.1 Inserting/replacing the battery
(B)
Before the first use OR when the light of the LEDs be-
comes weaker, the
1c/2c batteries must be inserted
OR replaced.
For this, proceed as follows:
1. Switch the product
1a/2a off (see “6.3. Use”)
2. Unlock (1) and remove (2) the cover

from the
battery compartment

3. Remove any depleted batteries from the battery
compartment

4. Insert (3) the 3 supplied batteries
1c/2c OR 3
new LR6/AA batteries into the battery compart-
ment
4 according to the polarity.
5. Afterwards, close the battery compartment

6.2 Mounting suspension hooks
- Screw the suspension ring
1b/2b into the product
1a/2a. See Fig. C1 for the product 1a

The product
1a/2a is now ready to use.
Setting up the product
Set up the product
1a/2a in an appropriate place.
NOTE!
- The surface should be even, so that the product
1a
/
2a cannot fall over. The place should have suffi-
cient free space around the
1a/2aproduct.
- Place a protective blanket underneath the prod-
uct
1a/2a. Sensitive surfaces could become
scratched by the product
1a/2a.
Hanging up product
Alternatively, you can hang the product
1a/2a on
an existing hook on a cord.
NOTE!
- Make sure that the place is suitable.
- Make sure that the product
1a/2a is safeguarded
from falling down.
- Make sure that there is sufficient free space
around the product
1a/2a, in case the product 1a
/
2a starts to swing. It could collide with another
object and the pane could break. There is a risk of
injury!
- Ensure that the materials used, such as hooks and
string, are adapted to the load from the weight of
the product
1a/2a. If you are not certain, ask a
specialist.
6.3 Use
On/Off switching off the product (D)
To turn on the product
1a/2a, slide the switch 5 on
the bottom of the battery compartment
1a/2a to the
“ON” position. To switch off, slide the switch
5 to
the “OFF” position.
Timer function (D)
The product
1a/2a is equipped with a timer function.
If you move the switch
5 to the “TIMER” position,
the timer function will switch on. If the timer function
is switched on, the product
1a/2a will switch off au-
tomatically after 6 hours. After another 18 hours, the
product
1a/2a will automatically switch back on. As
long as the switch
5 is left in the “TIMER” position,
this daily rhythm will be repeated.
7. Cleaning and care instructions

Before cleaning, you must remove
the batteries from the battery
compartment. There is a risk of
electric shock!
- only clean with a dry cloth
- do not use any strong detergents and/or chemi-
cals
- do not immerse in water
- store in a cool, dry place and protected from UV
light

ing instructions are made of
100 % environmentally
friendly materials, which you may dispose of at local
recycling centres.
Disposal of the product
The product may not be disposed of with nor-
mal household waste. Please find out about
disposal options for the product from your lo-
cal authority or town administration.
Disposal of the battery / rechargeable
batterie
- Defective or used rechargeable batteries
have to be recycled in accordance with Di-
rective 2006/66/EC and its amendments.
- Batteries and disposable batteries are not per-
mitted to be disposed of with household waste.
They contain harmful heavy metals. Marking: Pb
(= lead), Hg (= mercury), Cd (= cadmium). You
are legally obligated to return used batteries and
rechargeable batteries. After use, you can either
return batteries to our point of sale or in the di-
rect vicinity (e.g. with a retailer or in municipal
collection centres) free of charge. Batteries and
rechargeable batteries are marked with a crossed-
out waste bin.
10. Processing in case of guarantee
claim
To ensure quick processing of your concern, please
follow the instructions below:
- Please have the till receipt and article number
available (e.g. IAN 366612_2101) as proof of
the purchase.
- You can find the article number on the rating plate
on the product, as an engraving on the product,
the title place of your instructions (bottom left) or
the sticker on the back or underside of the product.
- If malfunctions or other defects occur, first contact
the service department below by telephone or
e-mail.
- You can then send a product that has been record-
ed as being defective, including the proof of pur-
chase (till receipt) and stating what the defect is
and when it occurred, postage-free to the service
address provided to you.
