OPERATION

In case the Oil Guardian is used as stand-alone unit there

will be no warning if the main switch is off.

Initial Use

Before the first use, the Oil Guardian must be filled with limestone.

To fill the limestone reservoir, proceed as follows:

Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to avoid injury.

This also applies to persons who enter the work area.

When filling limestone, make sure the fan of the connected

extraction system is running to activate rim extraction.

For steps 2-8, see Figure 30.

1. Turn on the main switch on the Oil Guardian.

2. Fully open the limestone refill lid (A).

3. Place a 55 lb. (25 kg) limestone bag on the top cover.

4. Cut open the bottom of the bag (B).

5. Slowly lift the bag to a vertical position and empty it.

6. Gently roll up the bag from the top and throw it away (C).

7. Repeat the above procedure with two more 55 lb. (25 kg) bags of

limestone.

8. Close the refill lid (D).

Prevent objects from falling into the limestone reservoir.

Should this happen, it must be removed immediately to

prevent damage to the agitator mechanisms and/or screw

conveyor. Remove input power first.

NOTE: Attach the knife you are using to a piece of rope or wristband to prevent

it from falling in the limestone reservoir.
