'0' to turn off the cooking zone after 5
seconds.
2 To turn off all cooking zones, press the
POWER button.
WARNING
• Your cooktop has a residual heat indicator for
each cooking zone. This indicator will warn that
this area has been used and is still giving off
enough heat to cause burns. Avoid touching the
cooking zone.
NOTE
• These settings are recommended guidelines for
cooking. You may need to adjust the power level
for the type of food and pan.
Using the Simmer Mode
Simmer
Use Simmer to simmer sauces or stews.
The Simmer function gives you detailed control
with 3 sub-levels between power levels 1 and 2.
1 Place the cookware on any cooking zone.
Activate the corresponding cooking zone.
2 Press Simmer. The burner display will
change. At first, there is no sign under the
cooking area, but when you select Simmer,
the Simmer indicator appears under the
cooking area.
3 To set and adjust the Simmer Level, touch
the corresponding Power Level.
• Power level 2 will activate.
• Only power levels 1 to 3 can be selected.
• Selecting power level 4 or greater turns off
the simmer function.
4 Press Simmer again to turn off the cooking
zone. If the Power button is selected, all
operations are turned off.

9 Fast heating Bringing liquids to a boil.
7-9 Heating, browning, deep fat frying
Browning meats, heating oil for deep-fat frying, sautéing,
maintaining a fast boil for large amounts of liquids.
6-7 Roasting, frying Frying meats, chops, pancakes, sausages, eggs.
4-5 Boiling, general cooking
Cooking larger quantities, soups and stews, steaming
potatoes, cooking meat stock or bouillon.
2-4 Steaming Steaming vegetables, braising meats.

Simmering rice or milk-based dishes, steaming smaller
quantities of potatoes and vegetables, heating ready-to-
serve meals.
