6.3.3 Setting the tooth clearance
The backlash between the teeth of the drive pinion (10) and the teeth of the gear rim (2) should be
approx. 2-3 mm.
Too small a clearance increases the running noise.
Excessive backlash increases the wear of the drive pinion (10) and the gear rim (2).
Adjustment procedure (Fig. 3)
Slightly loosen the nuts (5) of the gear rim mounting.
Tap the gear rim (2) upwards or downwards with a hammer.
Check the tooth clearance on the mixing drum in the mixing position.
If it is no longer possible to adjust the gear rim (2) because the holes on the screws (3) are too small to
move it, they must be drilled out.
6.3.4 Retensioning the V-belt
If a significant drop in mixing drum speed is noticed during mixing operation, the V-belt tension must be
increased immediately as follows:
Slightly loosen the fixing screws between the motor console and the fastening lug.
The motor console can be moved downwards by tapping on the fastening lug.
Check V-belt tension by thumb pressure of approx. 15 kp, deflection: 5-10 mm.
Please note!
V-belt tension too low:
Poor power transmission and early belt destruction due to slippage.
V-belt tension too high:
Heavy bearing load increased flexing and premature belt elongation with risk of breakage.
