Assembly and concentricity test

Insert the new bearing (2) first into the mixing drum bottom.

Push the bearing shell (6) with the newly fitted bearing (8) onto the bearing bracket journal (10).

Replace sealing ring (11) beforehand if necessary.

Snap the circlip with the lug (5) and the circlip (4) into the recesses of the bearing bracket journal (10)

(see Fig. 2).

Insert the supporting ring (3) and push the bearings together.

Tighten the bearing shell fixing screws (7) evenly crosswise.

Turn the mixing drum by hand.

The backlash between the drive pinion and the sprocket should be even.

If the backlash is not even – which can lead to strong running noise and increased wear – proceed as

follows:

1) Turn the mixing drum until the point with the smallest clearance is located on the drive pinion.

2) Slightly loosen the bearing shell fixing screws (7).

3) Drive a wooden wedge between mixing drum (1) and bracket (9) on the side of the drive pinion.

4) Tighten the screws (7) again.

5) Check for smooth running.
