3. Mixing capacity
3.1 Mixing drum filling (maximum values)
180 litres for mixer type S 180
225 litres for mixer type S 230
Filling means the volume of the aggregate mixture (gravel or sand) and the binder (cement or lime),
measured in litres without water.
3.2 Example for 100 litres filling
Recipe for concrete of strength class B15 (mixing ratio in volume parts 4:1). Recipe information without guarantee.
Aggregate mixture
(normally moist concrete gravel,
approx. 3% moisture, grain size 0-32 mm)
80 litres
Cement (Z 35 L / Z 35 F) approx. 20 Litres (equivalent to 25 kg)
Water approx. 10 litres
Fresh concrete discharge approx. 70 litres
Consistency of the fresh concrete K2 (Target value, maximum K3)
3.3 Values for coarse manual feeding
1 shovel of cement = approx. 4 litres = 4.5-5 kg
1 shovel of concrete gravel (0-32) = approx. 3.5 litres = approx. 6.6 kg

4. Set-up and connection
Observe safety instructions on page 16 on and "Set-up and connection".
4.1 Set-up
Set up the mixer horizontally and on firm ground so that it does not sink into the ground on one
side and tip over during operation.
The mixer can be prevented from sinking in by placing boards under it, if necessary. However, care must
be taken to ensure that a wheelbarrow or similar can be moved unhindered under the mixing drum for
emptying.
4.2 Connecting
Machines equipped with an electric motor must be connected via a special supply point to avoid
life-threatening electric shock. A functionally tested residual current circuit breaker with a
maximum rated residual current of 30 mA must be installed in this supply point or site power
distributor.
Attention! Do not connect electric mixers directly to household sockets.
