• Do not touch the pins on the microprocessor socket or the gold contacts on the microprocessor.
For access, do the following:
1. Turn off the computer and remove all connected devices and cables.
2. Remove the following parts in order.
• “Power cord” on page 46
• “Computer cover” on page 48
• “Front bezel” on page 49
• “Storage drive cage” on page 52
• “Front I/O bracket” on page 68
• “Memory module” on page 53
• “M.2 solid-state drive and heatsink” on page 55
• “Microprocessor heatsink and fan assembly” on page 57
• “PCI-Express card and PCI-Express card holder” on page 59
• “Wi-Fi card shield and Wi-Fi card” on page 72
• “Rear fan” on page 77
• “Microprocessor” on page 77
3. Record the cable routing and cable connections, and then disconnect all cables from the system board.
