Go to https://support.lenovo.com/partslookup to look up the Lenovo part numbers of the following
replacement parts:
2242 solid-state drive
2242 solid-state drive thermal pad
2242 solid-state drive holder
Remove the 2280 solid-state drive and thermal pad (for selected models)
Make sure the following FRUs (or CRUs) have been removed.
“Remove the lower case” on page 28
Step 1. Disconnect the battery pack cable from the system board and peel off the system board mylar.
Attention: Use your fingernail to pull the connector to unplug it. Do not pull the cable.
