LAM1114 4 Burner Premium Gas Hob
Safety Precautions for Installation
Installation should be carried out in line with the national regulations applicable
with this product type.
Risk of damage from incorrect connection.
Incorrect installation can cause damage to the gas hob.
The gas hob must only be installed by a Gas Safe engineer
Damage from falling objects.
Take care not to damage the gas hob when fitting wall units or a cooker hood above it.
Fit the wall units and the cooker hood before the gas hob.
The room in which the gas hob is installed must conform to all relevant local and
national building regulations and safety regulations.
Wall surfaces above the work surface and in the immediate vicinity of the hob must be
heat resistant.
The hob may be installed in any worktop which is heat resistant to a temperature of
100°C, and has a thickness of 25 — 45 mm.
The veneer or laminate coatings of worktops (or adjacent kitchen units) must be
treated with min. 100°C heat-resistant adhesive which will not dissolve or distort.
The gas hob must not be installed over a fridge, fridge-freezer, freezer, dishwasher,
washing machine, washer-dryer or tumble dryer.
The gas hob must not be installed directly next to a deep fat fryer as the gas flames
could ignite the fat in the fryer. It is essential to maintain a distance of at least 300mm
between these two appliances.
When installing the gas hob, make sure that the gas pipe and electrical connection
cable cannot come into contact with hot appliance parts.
The electrical cable and any flexible gas connection pipes must be installed in such
a way so that they do not come into contact with any moving kitchen parts (eg. a
drawer), and cannot become trapped.
It is not recommended to place the hob in front of a window as there is potential to
blow out the flame. If done, please ensure the safety clearances are observed for any
thing behind/overhanging the hob.
Observe carefully the safety clearances listed on the following pages.
Although every care has been taken to ensure this appliance has no burrs or sharp
edges, we recommend you wear protective gloves when installing, and moving this
appliance to prevent possibility of injury.
