and press the buon to boil it. Leave the boiled mixture for
several hours or overnight to take eect. Discard the mixture
and ll the kele with drinking water up to the MAX level. Close
the lid, boil the water and discard it.

For a more pronounced limescale build-up, use pure vinegar,
boil it and leave it overnight to take eect. Discard the vinegar
and ll the kele with drinking water up to the MAX level. Close
the lid, boil the water and discard it.

If there is sll limescale aer using pure vinegar, use a specic
descaler for keles (food grade) and follow the manufacturer’s
instrucons.
NOTE:
Limescale build-up can be reduced by emptying the water aer
using the kele, and relling it when needed.
Repeat the descaling process periodically.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem Possible cause Soluon
The appliance does not work. The plug is not connected to the power
socket.
Insert the appliance plug into a power
socket.
“E1” appears on the display.
The kele was removed from the base
before the boiling cycle had nished.
Put the kele back on the power base and
switch it on again.
“E2” appears on the display. Sensor malfuncon. The appliance cannot be used. Disconnect
it from the power socket and contact the
dealer.
“E3” appears on the display. Faulty circuit. The appliance cannot be used. Disconnect
it from the power socket and contact the
dealer.
“E4” appears on the display. The thermal cut-out tripped because
the appliance was switched on without
water.
Switch o the appliance, disconnect it from
the power socket and let it cool down before
relling it.
The water ow has slowed down to
nothing.
The lter cartridge was not acvated
correctly.
Repeat the steps in the “Preparing the lter
cartridge” paragraph.
Air bubbles may form inside the lter
cartridge, prevenng the water from
owing properly.
Remove the lter, immerse it in water and
force the bubbles out, then drain it and put it
back in the water tank.
Dark coloured residues inside the jug. The vegetable carbon in the lter may
release a small amount of ne powder
(completely harmless).
Repeat the steps in the “Preparing the lter
cartridge” paragraph.

is powered by a non-replaceable 3V
baery. The baery has reached the end
of its service life.
