Italian Ministerial Decree no. 25 of 07/02/2012, technical
provisions concerning appliances for the treatment of water
intended for human consumpon.
CAUTION: this appliance requires regular periodic
maintenance to ensure that the treated drinking water meets the
potability standards and that its quality connues to be improved
as stated by the manufacturer.

EARTHED PLUG
To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance is equipped
with an earthed plug (2 terminals and 1 pin). Consult a qualied
electrician if the plug cannot be inserted fully into the power
socket. Do not modify the plug in any way and do not use an
adapter.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
INSTALLATION
A short power cable is provided to reduce the entanglement or
tripping hazards associated with a long cable. Extension cables
can be used, provided that they are used with great care. If an
extension cord is used, the electrical rang of the detachable
power cable or extension cable shall be at least equal to that of the
appliance. The extension must have an earthed 3-wire cable. The
extension cable shall be arranged so that it does not hang from the
worktop or table as it could be pulled by children or pose a tripping
hazard.
USING THE APPLIANCE FOR THE FIRST TIME
1.
R
emove the packaging material and detach any sckers.
2.
When using the product for the rst me, clean it as described in
the “Cleaning and maintenance” paragraph.
3. Connect the power base to a power socket.
4.
ll the hopper with tap water to the Max line on the kele and
close the lid. Boil the water and discard it. Repeat this step two
or three mes.
5.
The kele is now ready for use.
PREPARING THE FILTER
CARTRIDGE
1.
W
ash your hands thoroughly
before proceeding with the
next steps.
2.
Remove the cartridge from
the bag (g. A).
3. Immerse the cartridge in a
container full of cold water
for about 15 minutes (g.
B). Agitate the cartridge to
eliminate the air in it.
4.
P
ut the cartridge into the tank and press gently to insert it
correctly (g. C).
5.
F
ill the hopper with cold tap water up to the MAX level (marked
on the tank) and leave it to lter without closing the lid (g. D).
6.
D
iscard the water ltered in the previous step (or use it to water
your plants).
7.
R
epeat this procedure (steps 5 and 6) 3 mes.
ACTIVATING THE CARTRIDGE REPLACEMENT INDICATOR
Carry out the following steps with the kele o the power base.
1.
Connect the power base plug to a power socket.
2.
P
ress the
buon to switch on the device. Then press the
buon and hold it down for about 3 seconds; the symbol
will appear on the display. This symbol indicates the lifeme of
the lter cartridge and remains visible on the display for 30 days
when the device is connected to the power socket.
3.
When the 30 days have elapsed, the
symbol will appear on
the display.
4. Aer acvang the cartridge replacement indicator, pressing
the
buon again for about 3 seconds will reset the
remaining life of the cartridge; the
symbol will disappear
from the display.
SETTINGS:
MEASUREMENT UNIT °C / °F
The water can be shown on the LCD display in degrees Celsius or
Fahrenheit.
With the appliance on, press the “°F/°C” buon; the measurement
unit (°C or °F) will appear on the display. Press the “°F/°C” buon to
change the measurement unit.
SILENT MODE
The appliance normally beeps whenever a buon is pressed. It can
be set to silent mode.
Switch on the appliance, press the
buon, then press the
buon and hold it down for about 3 seconds; will appear on
the display.
To acvate the beep, press and hold the
buon.
Cauon: when silent mode is set, the appliance beeps when
boiling is nished or when there is an alarm.
