TV Standard
Depending on your television’s setup, choose either (Fig. 36) (note
that PAL is the default setting):
✦ NTSC
✦ PAL
TV Type
Choose either (Fig. 37) (note that 4:3 is the default setting):
✦ 4:3: Select this option when using a standard 4:3 TV. When
you play a widescreen (letterbox) movie, there will be margins
on the upper and lower sides of the screen.
✦ 16:9 Wide: Select this option when using a widescreen 16:9
TV.
Display Size
Depending on your television’s setup, choose either (Fig. 38):
✦ Original (Letterbox): Select this option when using a standard
4:3 TV. When you play a widescreen (letterbox) movie, there
will be margins on the upper and lower sides of the screen.
✦ Pan & Scan: Select this option when using a standard 4:3 TV.
The picture will be adjusted to the height of the screen.
