11 Protocol 3000
By default, the VS-84HN is set to Protocol 3000 but is also compatible with
Kramer’s Protocol 2000 (see Section 10
).
Note that the VS-84HN needs to be set to Protocol 2000 in order to
use the IR remote control transmitter.
Section 8
describes how to switch between Protocol 3000 and Protocol 2000.
The VS-84HN can be operated using serial commands from a PC, remote
controller or touch screen using the Kramer Protocol 3000. However, when used in
conjunction with the IR remote controller, these serial commands must also be in
Protocol 2000 format.
