Troubleshooting

Problem Solution

Doorbell will not

power on.

• After completing installation, ensure the battery is fully

charged.

• Check that the circuit breaker is in the ‘ON’ position.

• If the Doorbell is wired and does not power on, consult a

certified electrician to ensure the transformer is properly

installed for mechanical chimes.

Doorbell will not

connect to my Wi-

Fi network.

• Ensure the ‘Status’ indicator on the Doorbell is flashing red.

If not, press and hold the ‘Reset’ Button (located on the side

of the doorbell) for 5 seconds or until you hear an audible

tone.

• Ensure the Wi-Fi network is a 2.4GHz network. The device

does not support 5GHz networks.

• Test your Wi-Fi network using other devices such as your

phone or computer to confirm it’s working properly.

• The Wi-Fi signal may be out of range during pairing. Use

your phone to check signal strength. At least 2 bars are

recommended.

• Double check that you’re entering the Wi-Fi password

correctly; it is case-sensitive.

The doorbell is

offline.

• There may be a temporary issue with your internet

connection. Try again after a few minutes.

• Ensure your Wi-Fi router is turned on.

• Confirm the doorbell has power. Check the electrical outlet

switch and breaker.

• Use your phone to check the Wi-Fi signal strength near the

doorbell. At least 2 signal bars are recommended.

• The doorbell may have disconnected from Wi-Fi. Press and

hold the ‘Reset’ button until the ‘Status’ indicator flashes

red and an audible tone is heard. Then follow the

instructions in the Connect to SmarterHome™ App section

to reconnect.

What do the

flashing indicators

mean?

• Flashing red: Pairing Mode.

• Slow flashing blue: Connecting to Wi-Fi.

• Solid blue for 20 seconds then off: Connected to Wi-Fi.

• Fast flashing blue (3 times) then off: Waking up from

hibernation.
