Defrosting the Freezer
The freezer compartment will progressively accumulate frost, which should be removed.
Important
• Never use sharp metal tools to scrape frost from the evaporator, as this can cause
damage.
• When ice becomes very thick on the inner liner, complete defrosting is necessary.
Steps for Defrosting
1. Unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet.
2. Remove all stored food, wrap it in several layers of newspaper, and place it in a cool
area.
3. Keep the freezer door open and place a container underneath the appliance to collect
the defrost water.
4. Once defrosting is complete, thoroughly dry the interior.
5. Plug the appliance back into the electrical outlet and switch it on to resume operation.
