Cleaning & Care
For hygienic reasons, the interior of the appliance, including all accessories, should be
cleaned regularly.
Caution
• The appliance must not be connected to the mains during cleaning to avoid the risk of
electrical shock. Before cleaning, switch off the appliance and unplug it, or turn off the
circuit breaker or fuse.
• Never use a steam cleaner, as moisture could accumulate in electrical components,
leading to electrical shock. Hot vapours may also damage plastic parts.
• Ensure the appliance is completely dry before reconnecting it to the mains and putting
it back into service.
Important
• Ethereal oils and organic solvents, such as lemon juice, orange peel juice, butyric acid,
or cleansers containing acetic acid, can damage plastic parts. Avoid contact between
these substances and the appliance.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners.
Steps for Cleaning
1. Remove all food from the freezer and store it in a cool, covered place.
2. Switch off the appliance and unplug it or turn off the circuit breaker or fuse.
3. Clean the appliance and its interior accessories using a cloth and lukewarm water.
After cleaning, wipe with fresh water and dry thoroughly.
4. Accumulated dust on the condenser at the rear of the appliance increases energy
consumption. Clean the condenser carefully once a year using a soft brush or vacuum
cleaner.
5. Once the appliance is completely dry, reconnect it to the electrical outlet and switch
it back on.
