8.5 Mounting the appliance
Noteonavoidingdeposits
If the cooker hood is not installed horizontally,
grease and/or condensation may collect
in the corners / edges of the appliance!
Check the correct alignment of the appliance with a
spirit level during and after installation!
Proceed for installation on solid masonry,
as described in the following section.
If the appliance is to be attached to a wall of a different
nature (e.g. plasterboard, aerated concrete, Poroton bricks)
replace the supplied mounting materials
according to the substrate!
If the mounting surface is made of wood,
you may be able to do without dowels.
However, always ensure a secure hold!
• Determine the desired position for installing
the cooker hood or the corresponding wall brackets
in the center above your cooktop in accordance
with the distance regulations and dimensions
mentioned above.
• Then place the bracket for the hood body
on the wall accordingly and mark the position
of the screw holes on the wall.
Notes:
The rear upper edge of the hood body is later mounted
on the hood body wall bracket (see illustration),
the upper edge of the lower part of the exhaust air shaft
is mounted on the flat, slightly shorter shaft bracket,
the upper part on the slightly wider, angled shaft bracket,
whereby the mounting height of the upper shaft part
can be adjusted according to the dimensions.
• Drill one hole each at the corresponding markings
according to the length + 10 mm and the diameter
of the dowels.
