Adjusting Thread Tension
Set the thread tension dial at “3”. You may need to
manually adjust the tension balance depending on
the sewing conditions, or you can ne-tune the thread
tension to suit your preference.
The optimized thread tension for the selected stitch
pattern is shown on the window.
Needle thread tension is too tight:
Turn the dial to smaller number.
(1) Setting mark
Needle thread tension is too weak:
Turn the dial to bigger number.

Adjust the thread tension dial to the number shown on
screen.
(1) Turn the dial to smaller number, and the needle
thread tension becomes weaker.
(2) Turn the dial to bigger number, and the needle
thread tension becomes stronger.
NOTE:
Adjust the thread tension dial to the number shown
on screen. The message will not be displayed if the
“Conrm to Check Thread Tension Dial” is set to “OFF”
(refer to page 85)
Balanced thread tension
Both needle and bobbin threads interlock between the
layers.
