Fabric preparation
1.
Add 1 cm (3/8˝) to the zipper size. This is the overall
opening size.
(1) Right sides of the fabric
(2) 1 cm (3/8˝)

(4) Zipper size
(5) End of the zipper opening
Zipper Sewing
Machine settings
(1) Stitch pattern: U1
(2) Presser foot: Zipper foot E
Zigzag foot A
(3) Thread tension: 2-6
(4) Foot pressure: 4-6

Place the right sides of the fabric together.
Attach the zigzag foot and seam up to the end of the
zipper opening, with a 2 cm (3/4˝) seam allowance.
Reverse the stitch to fasten the seam.
Manually increase the stitch length to 5.0 and baste
the zipper opening with the thread tension loosened
to 1.
(5) End of the zipper opening
(6) 2 cm (3/4˝) seam allowance
(7) Basting
(8) Reverse stitches
(9) Seam stitches
Attaching zipper foot E
Fit the pin on zipper foot E to the groove on the foot
holder.

: To sew the left side of the zipper, attach the zipper
foot with the pin on the right-hand side.

To sew the right side of the zipper, attach the zipper
foot with the pin on the left-hand side.
