Adjusting Thread Tension
Select the stitch pattern to show the optimized thread
tension.
Needle thread tension is too tight:
Turn the dial to smaller number.

Needle thread tension is too weak:
Turn the dial to bigger number.

Adjust the thread tension dial to the number shown on
screen.
(1) Turn the dial to smaller number, and the needle
thread tension becomes weaker.
(2) Turn the dial to bigger number, and the needle
thread tension becomes stronger.
NOTE:
• You may need to manually adjust the tension
balance depending on the sewing conditions, or
you can ne-tune the thread tension to suit your
preference.
• Set the thread tension dial at “3” in the embroidery
mode (refer to page 110).
Balanced thread tension
Straight stitch:
Both needle and bobbin threads
interlock between the layers.
Zigzag stitch:
The needle thread appears slightly on the
wrong side of the fabric.
