3. PRELIMINARY OPERATIONS
Installing the battery
1) Place the battery on the back side of the device, resting the top edge
roughly halfway up the surface.
2) Slide the
battery towards the
upper edge of the
device while holding
it against the back.
3) Once a click is
heard, the battery is
in place.
The battery can be secured applying moderate force to the parts involved. If
excessive force is required to position the components, the operation may
need to be repeated ensuring all the parts are properly aligned. Do not use
excessive force to secure the battery in place as doing so may damage the
device or the battery itself.
Removing the battery
1) Lower the battery retaining lever and keep it lowered.
2) Keeping the lever down, slide the battery downwards along the back
side of the device. A 1 cm shift will free the battery, which can then be
removed.
Charging
The battery needs to be charged when the device indicates a low battery
status by means of a message on the display and an audible warning. Use
the supplied battery charger complete with an indicator light, the colour of
which has the following meaning:
