ECO mode
When the eco mode is switched on, the display goes to sleep after 30 seconds.
• After switching on the appliance, the eco position is always active. You can switch the eco mode on or off using
a combination of keys:
Hold down and for 5 seconds: the display shows ON, indicating that the eco mode is switched on.
Hold down and for 5 seconds once more: the display shows OF, indicating that the eco mode is switched off.
Note:
When the eco mode is switched on, the display switches off 30 seconds after setting and locking.
When the eco mode is switched off, the display continues to light up after setting and locking.
Celsius - Fahrenheit conversion
• Hold the key for 3 seconds to change between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
When Celsius is displayed, the Celsius indicator - ° C lights up, when Fahrenheit is displayed, the Fahrenheit indicator -
°F lights up.
Temperature alarm
• The indicator light for ‘temperature too high’ lights up when the temperature in the freezer has become too high,
e.g.after a power failure. Keep the cover closed during the period that the indicator light lights up. Once the freezer starts
freezing again and the temperature is back to normal, the indicator light switches off automatically.
Power failure memory
The appliance has a power failure memory. When the power supply has returned, the freezer automatically resumes the
temperature and function that was active before the power failure, also in case of Superfreeze.
Opening and closing the cover
The cover is provided with a tightly closing seal. For that reason, it can sometimes be difficult to open the cover again
immediately after closing it. A vacuum can be created. In that case, wait a few minutes before opening the cover again.
Storage basket
The freezer comes with a storage basket. Suspend the basket from the upper edge of the
freezer.
Attention:
The ambient temperature, the frequency of opening the cover and the position of the
appliance have an effect on the temperature in the appliance. Take this into account when
setting the thermostat.
• Do not place hot food in the appliance.
• Never place hazardous, highly flammable or explosive substances such as alcohol, acetone or petrol in the appliance,
as there will be a hazard of explosion.
• Carefully package meat and fish to prevent unpleasant smells.
• Do not leave the cover open for longer than necessary.
• Do not freeze too much at once. The quicker the freezing process, the longer the quality of the food is maintained.
• Place the deep-freeze products in the freezer as quickly as possible after purchase. Make sure they do not defrost during
transport. Storage of freshly frozen and deep-freeze products depends on the type of food.
• Do not place glass bottles or cans in the freezer. These can break when the contents freezes. Carbonated drinks could
even explode. Therefore never store lemonade, beer, wine, champaign, etc. in the freezer.
