The machine does not
start or a program can-
not be started�
• The power cable is unplugged. >>> Make sure that the power cable
is plugged in.
• No program has been set or the Start/Pause button has not been
pressed. >>> Make sure the program is set and the machine is not in
Standby mode.
• The child lock is activated. >>> Disable the Child Lock.
Laundry shrinks, fades,
tarnishes or gets dam-
aged�
• The program selected might not be suitable for the type of laundry.
>>> Check the care labels on clothes and select a program accord-
ingly, or select timed programs.
(*) The product does not switch to the spin cycle when the laundry
is unevenly distributed in the drum so as to prevent damage to the
product and its surrounding environment. Laundry should be rear-
ranged and re-spun.
(**) Regular drum cleaning has not been carried out. Clean the drum

If you cannot eliminate the problem
after following the instructions in this
section, consult your dealer or the
Authorized Service Agent.
